Job Summary
Perform blood collections via venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, including drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests. Collect specimens for testing and analysis, maintain patient and specimen logs, and enter patient data accurately. Process billing information and collect payments as necessary while providing superior customer service. Travel to additional sites when needed to support various locations in the Chicago area. This role offers variety across multiple clinics and locations, allowing for rapid skill development and continuous growth within the organization.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
- 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
- In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
- Be at least 21 years' old
Desired Qualifications
- 2 year or more of phlebotomy experience
