Job Summary
Perform blood collections via venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, including geriatrics and pediatric patients. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests, then process billing information and payments as required. Enter patient data accurately and timely while maintaining logs for patient and specimen information. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis, and fulfill administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed and adhere to Monday-to-Friday hours with rotating weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- California state issued Phlebotomy license (CPT)
- Pass a standardized color blindness test
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Desired Qualifications
- 1 or more years of experience as phlebotomist
- Current or prior experience with Labcorp
- 6 months or more phlebotomist experiences with Geriatrics and Pediatric patients
