Job Summary
Phlebotomist - Float at LabCorp based in Marion, IL, with coverage across southern Illinois, western Kentucky and southeastern Missouri. Performs venipuncture and capillary blood collections for patients across age groups, collects specimens for drug screens, paternity and alcohol tests, and enters patient data accurately. Prepares specimens for testing, maintains logs, and handles administrative duties including billing information. Travels to additional sites as needed, provides superior customer service, and can work independently or in a team. Requires high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy experience (1+ year; 2+ years preferred in outpatient settings), phlebotomy certification or accredited training, valid driver’s license, color vision testing, and willingness to work overtime. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
- Be at least 21 years old
- Color blindness test
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
