Job Summary
Perform blood collections via venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, including specimens for drug screens and paternity tests. Enter patient data accurately, process billing and payments, and prepare specimens for analysis while maintaining logs. Provide superior customer service and handle administrative duties as needed, traveling to additional sites when required. Work Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays, 6am to 6pm hours, and potential overtime. Float positions offer variety across clinics and locations. Valid driver's license, clean record, and color blindness test results are required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
- Be 21 years of age or older
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
- 2 years or more experience as a phlebotomist
- Current or prior Labcorp experience
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency
