Job Summary
Perform blood collections via venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, including drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests. Process billing information and collect payments when required, while entering patient data accurately and maintaining specimen logs. Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis, and provide superior customer service to patients. Travel to additional sites when needed and complete administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Work Monday through Friday between 8am and 6pm, with additional days and hours potentially required. Overtime is available as needed. This float role offers variety across clinics and locations to develop skills and growth opportunities within the organization.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bilingual – English and Spanish
- Current or Prior Labcorp experience
- In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
- Valid Driver's License and good driving record
- Be at least 21 years' old
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
Desired Qualifications
- 3 years or more experience as a phlebotomist
