Phlebotomist (FDC)

Draw blood and obtain specimens from patients with minimum discomfort, verifying patient identity before every collection. Perform venipuncture, finger/heel sticks, and collect nasal/throat swabs and blood cultures when needed. Label specimens accurately, ensure proper tubes are used, and complete tasks on time. Maintain awareness of Medicare guidelines, send-out test requirements, and explain ABNs to patients. Utilize paper orders for sample collection if computer service is interrupted. Work Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 1:00pm.
