Job Summary
Phlebotomist conducts phlebotomy on inpatients and outpatients to support accurate patient testing, provides training for new lab and non-lab staff in phlebotomy, and works weekend-only shifts (3:00 AM – 1:30 PM, 10-hour days) with holiday rotation as needed. Ensures proper specimen collection, handling, and adherence to OSHA and department policies, and processes physician orders and add-on tests in the system to maintain regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Must be 18 years of age
- Completion of BLS Certification will be required for candidates working at ThedaCare Medical Center – Wild Rose
- Phlebotomy training or certification preferred
- Ability to move and lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to work weekend shifts and 10-hour days
