Job Summary
Phlebotomist – St. Charles Hospital draws quality blood samples from patients, prepares specimens for lab testing, and performs clerical duties including order entry, result look-up, and report generation. Responsibilities include identifying patients accurately, labeling and processing specimens (centrifuging, splitting, freezing), and answering internal/external calls. Requires professional patient interaction, data entry accuracy, and ability to travel to off-site locations as needed. Education requirement is a High School Degree or GED; Phlebotomist Certification is preferred but not required; one year of phlebotomy experience is preferred but not required.
