Job Summary
Perform phlebotomy collection of whole blood and apheresis products, including donor screening, mini-physicals, and reaction care. Operate mobile drive buses with a valid CDL and air brakes endorsement to safely transport staff and equipment. Prepare collection sites, maintain product integrity, and rebook donors for future appointments. Deliver a service-centric experience by interacting with donors respectfully and responding to inquiries or complaints. Maintain equipment, complete department records, and comply with all regulatory and safety policies. Work evening, weekend, and holiday hours as required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- GED
- 1-3 years relevant people facing experience preferred
- Less than 1 year job-related experience
- Knowledge of standardized work routines and methods, general facts and information and/or the use of simple equipment, machines and materials
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as Standard Operating Procedures, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and other department manuals
- Basic mathematical aptitude
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to apply judgment to written or oral instructions
- Ability to organize work to provide productive workflow
- Ability to provide a consistently positive donor experience through professional, empathetic donor-centric service
- Ability/desire to contribute to and uphold a positive team culture through respectful communication, behaviors, and collaboration
- Flexibility to work independently, with a team, and adaptability to changing organizational and donor needs
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to respectfully provide and receive feedback to/from peers/donors/leadership

- Ability to learn/utilize computer applications as required to perform duties
- CDL with air brakes endorsement (B)
- Navigation system
- Personal Computer (desktop, laptop, tablet)
- General office equipment (computer, printer, fax, copy machine)
- Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Screening equipment including: Lancet, Sphygmomanometer (BP cuff), Temperature probe, Hemoglobin analyzer
- Phlebotomy collection equipment that may include: Blood mixer, Trima, Alyx
