Job Summary
Collect adequate and correct blood specimens via venipuncture or micro technique on adults, children, and infants across hospital settings, including outpatients, pre-surgical patients, and Emergency Department patients. Maintain equipment, ensure departmental supplies are stocked, and notify supervisors of shortages. Demonstrate knowledge of designated laboratory sections and institutional policies while monitoring workflow for efficient service delivery. Evaluate departmental performance and recommend measures to improve quality. Requires BLS training from the American Heart Association, six months of phlebotomy experience, and a high school diploma. Weekend and holiday shifts as scheduled.

- BLS training required and accepted from only -American Heart Association
Desired Qualifications
- Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians preferred
- Six months experience in all phases of Phlebotomy desired
- Prior experience in a hospital environment preferred
