Job Summary
Perform a variety of duties under supervision, including clinical, office, and clerical procedures within and supporting the Laboratory. Enter all specimen data, register patient information, and input test charges, schedules, and results into the LIS database and department logs. Requires successful completion of a phlebotomy or Medical Laboratory Assistant program, or equivalent experience, with mandatory venipuncture and capillary procedure skills. Knowledge of EKG procedures is preferred, along with CPR certification. Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and COVID-19. Compensation ranges from $21.94 to $28.82 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Equal to completion of four years of high school plus additional courses or training
- Successful completion of one of the following: (1) a college-based or accredited phlebotomy program within the past year, or (2) a Medical Laboratory Assistant program within the past year, or (3) equivalent of at least one (1) year of full time related work experience
- Venipuncture and capillary procedure experience
- Certification from ASCP or NCA within two years from date of hire
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
