Job Summary
Perform blood collections via venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, including drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests. Collect specimens for testing and analysis, enter patient data accurately, and process billing information. Prepare collected specimens for analysis and maintain patient and specimen logs. Provide superior customer service to patients, handle administrative duties, and travel to additional sites when needed. Bilingual English/Spanish, with a schedule of Monday/Tuesday/Thursday 1:00pm-8:00pm, Friday 7:00am-4:00pm, and rotating Wed/Sat shifts. Requires Phlebotomy certification or 3+ months experience, high school diploma, and full COVID-19 vaccination.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
- 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency
- Bilingual English and Spanish
- Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
- Reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Desired Qualifications
- 2 years or more of phlebotomy experience with pediatric patients
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
