Job Summary
Collect blood samples from pediatric through geriatric patients while adhering to laboratory procedures for specimen collection, handling, and processing. Retrieve specimens from patients while providing excellent customer service, then accurately enter patient data into an electronic lab information system or manually. Identify patient data, label specimens correctly, and pack samples for shipment or transport. Communicate timely with leadership to report field issues and manage time to meet departmental goals. Requires 2 years of phlebotomy experience, high school diploma, and availability for approximately 10% travel. Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, or equivalent
- 2 years of full-time phlebotomy experience
- Ability to alternate between standing, sitting, and walking
- Frequent use of hands
- Must be able to talk and hear
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
- Has availability for approximately 10% travel
