Job Summary
Conduct accurate specimen collection, labeling, and handling while interpreting provider test orders and following standard operating procedures. Accession patients and enter test orders using HIS and LIS software systems. Evaluate specimens for acceptability, correct defects, and maintain clean, orderly workspaces. Operate technical equipment, manage inventory supplies, and assist with team member training. Model compassionate, patient-centered care by addressing concerns with empathy and adhering to PRIDE values and the AIDET model. Demonstrate safety knowledge, physical capability, and effective communication with team members and other departments.
