Phlebotomist

Collect quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing while following established procedures. Verify written and electronic orders using lab technology systems, then complete data entry for patient registration and test orders. Process specimens by labeling, centrifuging, splitting, and freezing as required, while performing assigned clerical duties such as inventory management and answering phones. Maintain all phlebotomy logs, including maintenance and temperature logs, in a timely manner. This role involves direct patient contact to build trust and explain procedures, with assignments potentially at a doctor's office or patient service center.
