Job Summary
Phlebotomist/Administrative Assistant in Irvine, CA route mixture of venipuncture and administrative support for patient care. Responsibilities include delivering best-in-class venipuncture services across patient populations, handling front-d Desk and lab duties, assisting with non-blood specimen collection, EKGs/ECGs, vaccines, PPD tests, and swabs, managing patient intake and scheduling, supporting billing inquiries and DOH reporting, maintaining specimen labeling and inventory, and ensuring a welcoming, on-brand office environment. Requires strong customer service, clear written and verbal communication, proficiency with typical office software and EMR systems, and ability to work with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient experience.
Required Qualifications
- Active phlebotomy certification to practice in CA
- At least 6 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist outside of a training/externship environment
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong customer service skills, including ability to establish and maintain effective customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in computer technology such as typing, navigating the internet and using multiple software systems simultaneously
- Experience working on collaborative, diverse, multi-disciplinary teams (additional experience with remote teams a plus)
- A proven ability to display confidence and instill trust during the collection process while delivering individualized, human-centered, customer-focused care
- A proven track record of persisting through change, consistently stepping up to take action on challenges, and learning quickly and effectively when faced with new situations or tasks
