Job Summary

Phlebotomist/Administrative Assistant at One Medical in San Francisco offices, performing venipuncture and clinical support across front desk and lab, ensuring a seamless in-office patient experience. Uses C-I-CARE framework in patient interactions, handles patient intake, same-day scheduling, follow-up scheduling, billing and insurance knowledge, and lab case follow-ups. Performs extended scope duties (non-blood specimen collection, EKGs/ECGs, vitals, vaccines, PPD tests, swabs), maintains specimen labeling/handling, supports providers with clerical tasks, manages opening/closing duties, and masters tools like Slack, G-suite, Zoom, Circulation, RingCentral, and EMR. Strong emphasis on customer-centric care, teamwork, communication, adaptability, and a proactive service mindset. Requires active CA phlebotomy certification and HS diploma; compensation $28-$30/hour ($58,240-$62,400/year) with full-time schedule (40 hrs/week) in SF locations; comprehensive benefits available.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 6 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist outside of a training/externship environment
  • An active phlebotomy certification to practice in CA
  • Strong customer service skills, including ability to establish and maintain effective customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in computer technology such as typing, navigating the internet and using multiple software systems simultaneously
  • Experience working on collaborative, diverse, multi-disciplinary teams (additional experience with remote teams a plus)
  • A proven ability to display confidence and instill trust during the collection process while delivering individualized, human-centered, customer-focused care
  • A proven track record of persisting through change, consistently stepping up to take action on challenges, and learning quickly and effectively when faced with new situations or tasks

Desired Qualifications
