Phlebotomist; 6pm -6am; 72 hours

Job Summary
Greet the public, perform designated clerical duties, and obtain patient specimens in accordance with local, state, and federal standards to aid physician diagnosis. Perform phlebotomy across all age groups, conduct waived testing as a trainee, and execute specimen data entry and LIS functions. Monitor departmental resources, review policies, and recommend improvements while maintaining knowledge of standards and procedures. Resolve quality assurance issues, utilize safety devices for biohazardous materials, and demonstrate a positive first impression to all customers. Report directly to the Section Supervisor, Laboratory Director, and/or Medical Director.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- PBT(ASCP) is encouraged
- Previous phlebotomy or customer service experience is preferred
- Demonstrates support for organizational and departmental mission
- Supports and demonstrates knowledge of the Strategic Plan and the Hospital Key Initiatives
- Fosters and promotes teamwork within department and the organization as a whole
