Job Summary
Perform blood collections via venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, including drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests. Collect specimens for testing and analysis, perform accurate data entry of patient information, and process billing while collecting payments. Maintain patient and specimen logs, provide superior customer service, and handle administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Work 32 hours weekly, four days, Monday through Friday between 2:00 pm and 11:00 pm, with every third weekend off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
- 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency
- Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm or 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm shift
- Every 3rd Weekend 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm shift
- Monday - Friday schedule
- 32 hours/week
- 4 days/week
Desired Qualifications
- 2 or more years' experience as an in-patient phlebotomist
- Current or Previous LabCorp experience
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
