Job Summary
Perform daily phlebotomy duties, drawing quality blood samples from patients including pediatric and geriatric cases while verifying demographic information and ensuring accurate specimen labeling. Provide direct patient support by explaining procedures and maintaining a professional environment that fosters trust and confidentiality. Execute forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing under area supervisor direction, while managing records, data entry, and multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. Travel flexibly between doctor's offices, patient service centers, and other locations as staffing needs dictate, covering shifts including weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three years phlebotomy experience
- pediatric collections
- geriatric collections
- capillary collections
- Ability to provide quality, error free work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision
- Must be able to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment
- Must have reliable transportation
- valid driver license
- clean driving record, if applicable
- Travel and flexible hours required to work multiple locations
- required to cover at Patient Service Center/In-Office Phlebotomy locations with minimal notice

Desired Qualifications
- Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
- Phlebotomy certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred
- Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred
- Keyboard/data entry experience
