Job Summary
Conduct sterile venipuncture for blood product collection, determine donor acceptability, and ensure compliance with SOPs throughout the donation process in Donor Centers and Mobile Collections. Assist with smooth donor flow, provide excellent customer service, and communicate medical histories to donors while handling equipment weighing up to 120 pounds. Perform document reviews for completeness and accuracy, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to irregular schedules, frequent overtime, and changing environments. Travel between Texoma and North Texas locations as needed, maintaining a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of 6 months of general work experience, or education in the medical field that includes comparable experience, such as an internship or externship
- Customer service experience (Intern and/or externship experience will satisfy this requirement)
- Must possess a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record
- Regular travel between assigned work areas to support other locations/projects in Texoma and North Texas is required
- This position may require working varied shifts, extended hours, weekends, and/or overtime to support operational needs
- Regular, full-time attendance is required during normal working hours
- Some college, preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Blood banking or medical field experience, preferred
- Background in a highly regulated industry, preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish), preferred
