Job Summary

Lead and supervise the day-to-day operations of the Women's Auxiliary and Angel Tree programs, managing volunteer recruitment, training, and onboarding while ensuring compliance with organizational policies. Design and implement philanthropic programs that align with mission goals, collaborate with the Development Team to execute fundraising strategies, and cultivate relationships with donors and community partners. Coordinate event logistics, including scheduling, staffing, and administrative processing, while monitoring program performance through data analysis and reporting outcomes to stakeholders and leadership. Serve as the primary liaison to the Women's Auxiliary, providing research, reports, and materials to support committee work and maintain open communication with Area Command Leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • Associates degree from an accredited college or university in a related field
  • Valid State Drivers License
  • Four years progressively responsible experience demonstrating a record of accomplishment in supervising volunteers as well as organizing, coordinating and managing of events/projects
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language effectively
  • Ability to speak before small and large groups of people
  • Ability to travel to various locations in order to participate in public meetings, conferences, etc.
  • Ability to work under the pressure of deadlines and time constraints
  • Ability to operate various general office equipment including a telephone, Dictaphone, typewriter, computer, and adding machine
  • Ability and willingness to conduct all duties in accordance with the ministry of the organization and its Christian principles
  • Knowledge of general office practices and procedures and of effective and efficient recordkeeping practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of basic accounting or bookkeeping practices and procedures including ability to prepare spreadsheets
  • Ability to plan, develop, and coordinate programs, meetings, and special events
  • Ability to plan, develop, implement and evaluate a variety of special event strategies
  • Ability to develop and administer a special events budget
  • Ability to supervise, lead, motivate, monitor, and evaluate employees and volunteers
  • Ability to prepare and maintain reports in an accurate, complete, and timely manner
  • Ability to work independently and with limited supervision
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with Auxiliary volunteers, Salvation Army officers, employees, members of advisory organizations, and the community
  • Ability to apply discretion and independent judgment and exercise confidentiality
  • Ability to meet attendance requirements
  • Ability to work seated with brief or occasional periods of standing or walking
  • Ability to lift and carry light objects (less than 25 lbs.) 5-10% of work time
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in project management, event planning, or related field
