Job Summary
Philanthropy Gift Officer (remote role) manages a portfolio of rising to signature donors with cumulative gifts of $5,000+ annually, cultivating relationships and delivering personalized engagement strategies to align donor passions with MAP International’s mission. Responsibilities include stewarding 90–150 major donors, developing tailored engagement plans, presenting impact-focused proposals and stories, coordinating donor materials, and maintaining donor communications via phone, email, and mail. The role involves in-person and virtual donor engagements, moves management to retain and grow gifts, collaboration with internal teams for consistent messaging, CRM activity in Agilon ONE, and travel up to 45% to engage donors. Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, strong written/verbal communication, knowledge of international relief/global health or nonprofit operations, advanced MS Office and CRM proficiency, and 3+ years of fundraising success with individuals, foundations, or organizations. Remote work is supported with the ability to travel; the position reports to the Vice President of Development and operates within MAP’s Global Giving philanthropy team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, or equivalent work experience
- Experience requiring strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic knowledge of international relief, global health, or nonprofit operations
- Moderate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience with donor databases (Agilon, Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge, or similar) required
- Minimum of 3 years of successful fundraising experience with individuals, foundations, churches, or organizations
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding fundraising targets
- Experience in international NGO or relief sector preferred
- Ability to travel up to 45%
