Job Summary
Philanthropy Assistant responsible for supporting the Philanthropy Team’s administrative needs and overseeing Bowman House office management, including calendar and budget support, logistics coordination, and data entry. Responsibilities include coordinating events and meetings for the Chief Philanthropy Officer, generating donor acknowledgment letters and tax documentation, assisting with gift processing and monthly reconciliation, supporting staff during events, and providing general clerical support. Requires a college degree and 3-5 years of fundraising experience. Proficiency with Zoom, Slack, and Asana, familiarity with fundraising databases (Raiser’s Edge preferred), and strong Microsoft Office and Google Suite skills. Evening and weekend hours may be required, with duties conducted in a campus setting in Owings Mills, MD.
Required Qualifications
- College degree
- 3-5 years professional fundraising experience
- Experience with Zoom, Slack, and Asana
- Experience with fundraising databases (Raiser’s Edge preferred)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google suites
- Strong organizational, listening, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage volunteers and maintain confidentiality
