Job Summary
Philanthropic Investments Officer responsible for identifying, cultivating, and soliciting high-capacity donors capable of six- and seven-figure gifts; manages a portfolio of top donors and prospects through meetings, calls, and written communication; utilizes a strategic movesManagement approach to donor engagement; conducts in-person donor visits nationwide (approximately 40% travel); collaborates with internal teams to develop compelling grant proposals and reports; partners with leadership to meet revenue targets and donor acquisition goals; supports strategic planning for donor cultivation and solicitation efforts; maintains accurate records of donor interactions in Salesforce.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of fundraising experience, including managing donor portfolios
- Proven success closing five-figure gifts and above
- Strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong initiative
- Willingness to travel (~40%)
- High level of discretion and integrity with confidential information
- Alignment with and enthusiasm for MPI’s mission
- Experience with Salesforce preferred
