Job Summary
PhD student position in cancer biology/immunology focusing on neoadjuvant immunotherapy for renal cell carcinoma. Build on the NESCIO neoadjuvant clinical trial to unravel anti-tumor immune responses, identify novel tumor antigens, and apply functional antigen screening, TCR/antigen libraries, and single-cell RNA sequencing to characterize tumor-reactive TILs and inform next-generation immunotherapies. Collaborate within a translational research team of clinicians, cancer researchers, immunologists and computational scientists; work with patient samples, conduct functional screens, generate TCR/antigen libraries, isolate/expand TILs, and explore feasibility of TIL-based therapies, contributing to advancements in RCC immunotherapy under joint clinical and research supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Degree or have expertise in molecular biology, immunology or a related discipline
- Experience in statistics and/or bioinformatics programming languages (e.g. R, Python)
- Strong interest in translational research
- Cross-disciplinary collaboration and communication skills
- Priority for candidates with a second degree in medicine
