Job Summary
PhD candidate to work on the Office of National Intelligence-funded I,CaN-CU project, investigating whether individual human bioaerosol signatures can be detected and distinguished in shared indoor spaces. The role involves integrating environmental aerosol sampling technologies, high-resolution chemical analysis, and AI-driven signal deconvolution within a multidisciplinary Griffith University team. Primarily based at the Gold Coast (Southport) with required activities at Brisbane South (Nathan); may involve work across other Griffith locations. Applicants should have a strong scientific background in nano-/microtechnologies, environmental science/engineering, analytical chemistry or biochemistry, and a genuine interest in innovative research contributing to national priorities. The 2026 Griffith University Postgraduate Research Scholarship offers an annual stipend of $35,656 (indexed) for up to three years of full-time study.
