Job Summary
PhD candidate for the SPRINT project focusing on developing the next generation of ultra-fast, ultra-sensitive imaging systems using superconducting single-photon detector arrays. Work spans nanotechnology, photonics, and superconducting devices, contributing to both fundamental research and real-world applications such as biomedical imaging, quantum technologies, and LiDAR. Collaborate with leading academic and industrial partners in an international research environment. Requires MSc or equivalent in Physics or Engineering; relocation to the Netherlands is supported. Position features a 4-year employment structure (two contracts: initial 1.5 years with go/no-go review, followed by 2.5 years) under Dutch university frameworks; English proficiency required for Doctoral Education courses and research activities.
