Job Summary
PhD position focusing on system integration of greenhouse energy hubs in collaboration with TU Delft. Develop and test viable business models that turn greenhouse hubs into system-positive energy players, upscale models and tools for technically designing and optimizing such hubs, quantify governance, social barriers, and synergies with neighbouring infrastructure, and work within Leiden University’s Institute of Environmental Sciences (CML) in coordination with the LDE-CfS. The role requires a MSc degree relevant to the topic, proficiency in modelling complex systems (Python or similar), analytical thinking and scientific writing, and an interest in interdisciplinary science integrating governance and social sciences with participatory approaches. The position offers a one-year initial contract with potential extension up to four years, with hybrid working options within the Netherlands.
