Job Summary
Phase II Construction Manager for Perry Homes in Denton, TX coordinates independent contractors across multiple jobsites, orders materials, monitors quality and quantity of construction tasks, and ensures adherence to Perry Homes standards. The role involves managing time under construction, overseeing overhead costs, budget variances, and change orders, and performing tasks assigned by the Project Manager, VP of Construction, or Division President. Requires reading and interpreting complex instructions, blueprints, and development plans; strong communication and negotiation with homeowners and contractors; proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of building codes and safety regulations; and a valid driver’s license with a compliant vehicle.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Requires relevant management or leadership experience
- Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively and professionally with independent contractors and homeowners, both verbally and in writing
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to complete tasks on short notice under extreme time constraints
- Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, reports, blueprints, construction plans, plats and development plans
- Demonstrated computer skills including MS Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Fundamental knowledge of local building codes and safety regulations
- Knowledge of Perry Homes policies and procedures applicable to construction personnel and activities
- Current, valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
- Truck that complies with Perry Homes’ construction policies
