Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician position supporting pharmacist on duty in Wheelersburg Pharmacy. Responsibilities include profiling physician orders, dispensing medications, maintaining clean work area, performing audits of narcotics, delivering medications to Meds to Beds (ER), entering charges, coordinating with purchasing and external programs, and educating patients on re-ordering prescriptions. Requires high school diploma, completion of an approved technician training program or national certification, and passing the national qualification test (PTCB or NHA) with state registration as applicable (OH/KY). Strong emphasis on accuracy, customer service, inventory management, and program enrollment for patients. On-site role at Wheelersburg, OH.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a board approved Pharmacy Technician training program or National Certification
- National Qualification test required (PTCB or NHA)
- State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy Certified Technician Registration required (OH)
- State of Kentucky Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration Required (KY)
- Pharmacy Technician training program or certification or prior technician work experience required
