Job Summary
Select proper medications and accessories from stock to match label-generated lists and cart fill orders, preparing products including controlled substances, IVs, chemotherapy, and floor stock in accordance with Pharmacy Practice standards. Refill automated dispensing system stations to prescribed par levels and maintain restocking of individual filling stations and work areas to ensure minimal inventory levels. Compound sterile products such as intravenous admixtures, total parenteral nutrition solutions, and chemotherapy using proper aseptic technique per USP <797> and <800> guidelines. Coordinate daily distribution of non-sterile products adhering to USP <795> guidelines and patient care needs. Maintain confidential reports, enter and retrieve data, and assist in ordering and managing pharmaceutical supply inventory.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the Exam for Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT)
- Must be a Registered Pharmacy Technician with the New Jersey State Board of Pharmacy
