Pharmacy Technician Trainer

Job Summary
Design, implement, and conduct training programs for pharmacy technicians. Develop, review, and update training materials and manuals to align with industry changes and best practices. Evaluate training program effectiveness through assessments and feedback; mentor technicians through certification and continuing education. Collaborate with pharmacy management to identify training needs and align initiatives with business goals. Maintain records of training activities and trainee progress. On-site, full-time role based in Columbus, OH. Requires a high school diploma, Pharmacy Technician Certification, and a minimum of 3 years in pharmacy with a focus on education or training. Preferred: CPhT and additional training certifications; Bachelor’s degree in Education, Pharmacy, or related field is advantageous. Must be able to stand/walk for training, lift up to 25 pounds, and perform repetitive motions; must work on-site for all scheduled shifts.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Licensure/Certification: Pharmacy Technician Certification
- 3+ years of experience in pharmacy work, with a focus on education or training
- Strong instructional skills
- In-depth knowledge of pharmacy operations and regulatory compliance
- Experience in curriculum development and training delivery in a healthcare or pharmacy setting
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred; additional certification in training (such as CTT+ or similar) is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Pharmacy, or related field is advantageous
