Job Summary
Welcome patients at pharmacy entry points with compassion and process orders in person, by phone, and at drive-thru locations. Use pharmacy computers to search profiles, determine fill dates, quote cash prices, and enter invoices for drop-off, will-call, and order-receiving tasks. Transcribe prescription data accurately to generate custom labels and file written prescriptions daily. Maintain a clean work environment, manage inventory by ordering and rotating drugs, and answer telephone inquiries while resolving customer concerns. Complete required training programs and adhere to all state and federal policies including HIPAA.
Required Qualifications
- Eligible to obtain registration as pharmacy technician with the applicable state board of pharmacy
- At least 18 years of age
- 0 to 6 months experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
