Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician Trainee at Giant Eagle in Washington responsible for greeting patients, processing prescriptions in person and by phone, directing questions to the pharmacist, maintaining a clean work environment, assisting with inventory and order processing, using the pharmacy computer to manage patient profiles, quotes, and fulfillment (will call, drive-thru, will call, and in-store pickups), and completing required training while following HIPAA and all laws and policies. Emphasizes patient care, teamwork, and supporting the pharmacy operations to ensure accurate, efficient service and positive patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Eligible to obtain registration as pharmacy technician with the applicable state board of pharmacy
- 0 to 6 months experience
- Able to meet lifting up to 25 pounds
- Age 18 or older
