Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician Trainee works under direct supervision of Pharmacists to assist in preparation and distribution of medications, manage prescription orders, enter and retrieve data in patient profiles, and support labeling, packaging, inventory, and billing. Carries out non-sterile and sterile drug compounding, handles dangerous drugs, and ensures accurate dispensing and electronic prescription transmission across centralized databases.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or successful completion of an equivalent High School Exam Required
- Registered Pharmacy Technician Trainee required
- Registered, Certified Pharmacy Technician (OH) within 12 months of registration as Pharmacy Technician Trainee required
- Pharmacy Technician training program or prior technician work experience preferred
