Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician Trainee responsible for welcoming patients, processing prescriptions in person and by phone, assisting the pharmacist, and ensuring accurate, compliant pharmacy operations. Duties include using the pharmacy computer to search patient profiles, determine dates of fill and pickup, enter invoices, generate custom labels, quote cash prices, manage on-hand counts, and support inventory; handling customer questions and directing inquiries to the pharmacist; maintaining a neat work environment and following HIPAA and company policies; completing required training and exams and supporting department efficiency and company initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Experience Required: 0 to 6 months
- Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification or Licensing Required: Eligible to obtain registration as pharmacy technician with the applicable state board of pharmacy
- Age Requirement: At least 18 years of age
