Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician Trainee (Per Diem) supports pharmacists by stocking, preparing and distributing medications, greeting patients professionally, answering questions, and assisting with labeling and processing prescriptions. The role requires maintaining pharmacy inventory, ensuring 340B separation as applicable, adhering to infection-control policies, preparing medications for dispensing, and supporting clinicians with patient interactions. Must be at least 18, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and possess state licensure/registration. Compensation is $22.80 per hour. Unionized with 1199 SEIU. Location is Boston, MA; on-site. Employment is per diem with no visa sponsorship. The position serves patients facing homelessness and operates within a system that values equity and high-quality care.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
- State licensure/registration
- Experience managing multiple competing priorities; excellent prioritization skills
- Creating a safe and effective environment
- Strong analytical and organizational skills including ability to analyze data to identify trends and communicate them through effective reporting methods
- Strong attention to detail; quality focused
- Excellent oral, written, and verbal communication skills including experience presenting complex information to senior leaders
- Skilled in exercising initiative, integrity, judgement, discretion, and decision making to achieve objectives
- Quick learner with customer service mindset
