Job Summary
As a Substitute Pharmacy Technician Instructor at Pima Medical Institute, you will deliver curriculum lessons, prepare lectures, and conduct hands-on demonstrations essential for student learning in pharmacy law, pharmacology, and sterile compounding. This role requires a significant background in pharmacy practice, including a minimum of three years of experience in a pharmacy setting and a valid Texas state certification or licensure. Strong communication skills and Microsoft Office proficiency are also essential for monitoring student progress and maintaining a safe learning environment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Pharmacy Technician program (recognized by USDE or CHEA)
- Graduation from a recognized training entity (e.g., hospital-based program)
- At least three (3) years of occupational (practical) experience in a pharmacy practice setting
- Current license, certification, or designation as required by Texas state law (CPhT)
