Pharmacy Technician - St. Vincent's Birmigham Location

Prepare, compound, and dispense sterile and nonsterile hazardous medications in the ambulatory oncology setting while managing inventory, documentation, and hazardous waste disposal. Ensure safe intravenous medication administration through proper PPE usage, CSTD implementation, and strict adherence to USP <797> and <800> aseptic techniques. Support investigational drug management, including inventory control, record keeping, and vendor purchasing activities to minimize waste and manage drug shortages. Monitor equipment fidelity and generate reports from clinical systems to optimize drug use and decision-making. Maintain competency through annual testing and 3 hours of continuing education.
