Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary
Perform a full range of pharmacy technician procedures including filling new and refill outpatient prescriptions, entering orders into databases, and consulting on patient and physician requests. Monitor for drug interactions, report adverse drug reactions, and conduct quality improvement duties such as drug storage inspections and error reporting. Manage supply processes by placing new orders and stocking/restocking inventory. Maintain current BLS or CPR/BLS certification. Requires state license or PTCB certification, at least one year of pharmacy technician experience, and a formal pharmacy technician or military medical services training program. Schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 4:30pm.
Required Qualifications
- State license or certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
- Completion of a formal pharmacy technician program (i.e., technical, hospital, or retail-based program) or a formal medical services training program of the United States Military
- at least 1 year of Pharmacy Technician experience
- Maintain BLS certification
- current certification in either the American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) (Course C) or the American Red Cross CPR/BLS Course
