Pharmacy Technician - Specialty Pharmacy assists the pharmacist with dispensing tasks under supervision, processes prescriptions using the prescription processing system to obtain patient and medication information for claims to medical plans, and supports training of new technicians. Responsibilities include handling patient and doctor calls not requiring pharmacist intervention, assisting with pre-authorization and copay/benefit validation with medical plans, managing inventory and filing/storage of medications, and ensuring adherence to company policies. Requires an Associate degree in pharmacy technology, a Pharmacy Technician license, a valid registration certificate, and a minimum of 6 months of experience in a community pharmacy.
