Job Summary
This role leads workflows within a specialized pharmacy technician function at a hospital-based ministry, dedicating a majority of time to areas such as technology/automation, controlled-substance management, transitions of care, or purchasing. Responsibilities include performing advanced technician duties, solving complex issues, ensuring accurate and timely documentation, serving as a resource to the ministry team, coaching colleagues on practice standards, conducting reviews and audits, monitoring KPIs, leading operational changes in system-wide standardization, and collaborating with department leadership to implement best practices. The position requires compliance with legal/regulatory standards (HIPAA) and delivering excellent customer service to patients and staff, with a 40-hour day shift schedule and on-site work at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison, WI.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of Pharmacy Technician experience
- CPhT or ExCPT/CPhT
- Wisconsin Registration or in-process at time of hire
- High School Diploma/GED or education equivalency for licensing
- Ability to perform advanced pharmacy technician duties
- Strong communication skills
- High attention to detail
