Job Summary
Assist licensed pharmacists by accurately and efficiently dispensing prescribed medication and other healthcare products to patients. Receive prescription and refill requests from customers and clinics, retrieve, count, pour, weigh, mix, pack, and label products under direct supervision. Operate pharmacy computer systems, maintain patient records, and manage customer profiles while handling insurance forms. Perform cash register duties, stock department merchandise, and manage inventory levels. Handle outdated products per guidelines and maintain a clean, well-stocked work area compliant with company standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Certified Pharmacy Technician
- Knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules, pharmacy laws, rules, and guidelines
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good customer service skills
- Working knowledge of pharmacy terminology
- Understanding of insurance plans
- Good multi-tasking skills
- Organization skills
- Attention to detail
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally

- Ability to bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently
