Job Summary
Stock and take inventory of medications (prescription and over the counter). Retrieve, count, pour, weigh, package and label products. Receive prescriptions/refills from patients. Maintain customer profiles and prepare insurance forms. Accurately operate cash register, display cost of customer purchase, make change, cash checks, and issue receipt. Notify Pharmacy Manager of supplies/products that need to be ordered. Maintain a clean, attractive and well stocked department. Abide by HIPAA and all legal policies and procedures. Complete all other duties as assigned in a timely manner.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have the state appropriate registration or certification
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents
- Basic mathematical skills
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Must be able to bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently
- Must be able to work in a retail store environment with varied temperatures
- Must be able to be exposed to outside weather conditions
- Must be able to work in a low to moderate noise level environment
- Must be able to travel as required by assignment
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) year prior customer service-oriented pharmacy related experience preferred
