Job Summary
Stock and take inventory of medications (prescription and over the counter). Retrieve, count, pour, weigh, package and label products. Receive prescriptions/refills from patients. Maintain customer profiles and prepare insurance forms. Accurately operate cash register, display cost of customer purchase, make change, cash checks, and issue receipt. Notify Pharmacy Manager of supplies/products that need to be ordered. Maintain a clean, attractive and well stocked department. Abide by HIPAA and all legal policies and procedures. Complete all other duties as assigned in a timely manner. High school diploma or equivalent required; one year pharmacy experience preferred. Must have state registration or certification.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have the state appropriate registration or certification
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents
- Basic mathematical skills
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Required to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- May bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently
- Subject to a typical retail store environment (varied temperatures)
- Exposed to outside weather conditions
- Noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) year prior customer service-oriented pharmacy related experience preferred
