Job Summary
Manage medication orders, inventory, and dispensing in conjunction with the Consulting Pharmacist while working interdepartmentally with clinicians, third-party pharmacies, and patients. Perform pharmaceutical calculations, count, measure, and weigh medications with accurate math skills, and exercise good judgment under demanding workloads. Maintain BLS certification and complete annual TB screening and flu immunization requirements. This role involves up to 45% travel between Cortez, Durango, Dove Creek, and Pagosa Springs locations.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent
- At least One (1) Year(s) Pharmacy Experience OR Experience in a Clinic or Hospital
- CPhT, ExCPT or Certification to provide immunizations
- Proof of current TB test
- Active BLS certification at time of hire
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds
- Ability to frequently walk, sit, stand or kneel
- Ability to occasionally climb or balance and stoop
- Ability to sit for longer periods at a computer
- Ability to travel between AHS locations
- Ability to actively listen
- Effective communication skills and phone etiquette
- Skill in using computer and other electronic office devices

- Math skill level appropriate to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring and weighing medications
