Job Summary
Assist clinical pharmacists in providing an accurate and timely medication distribution system. Maintain active registration with the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire and hold current PTCB or ExCPT certification. Demonstrate excellent communication skills to prioritize tasks quickly in a fast-paced retail environment while applying basic math proficiency for accurate calculations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be registered with the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician within 30 days of hire date
- Registration must be in good standing active
- National certification with PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) or ExCPT (Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians)
- In the case of PTCB or ExCPT renewal, active status must be attained within 30 days of the expiration of the current certification
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to prioritize
- Ability to change tasks frequently and quickly
- Proficiency in basic math applications and analyses
