Job Summary
Fill prescription items, package medications, and prepare non-sterile compounding for dispensing and delivery. Accurately label products, enter patient data into the computer system, and manage inventory by checking stock and removing expired medications. Handle returned medications per protocol, work in the Controlled Drugs Room, and operate automated machines to prepack medications. Mix IV medications, sanitize equipment, and service facility-based dispensing machines. Communicate professionally with internal and external customers and assist with onboarding new staff. This role supports long-term care and senior living clients within a closed-door pharmacy environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Pharmacy Technician license as required by state
- Experience in a pharmacy setting and medical terminology.
- Ability to operate a computer; recognize and identify medications.
- Detail oriented; goal oriented, team player, and effective oral communication.
Desired Qualifications
- Long Term Care pharmacy experience.
