Job Summary
Pull correct stock bottles from inventory and stage prescriptions for packaging. Accurately dispense and label prescription orders, including preparing unit dose packaging such as blister cards by hand or using machines. Sort and organize completed prescriptions, perform quality assurance checks, and prepare orders for delivery. Work Monday through Friday from 8am to 4:30pm EST at our Rocky Hill CT location. This role supports Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy, a long-term care provider specializing in care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess an active CT State Board of Pharmacy Technician License
- Can perform pharmacy calculations
- Understands basic pharmacy language to interpret prescriptions
- Ability to complete projects promptly
- Ability to work with little oversight and/or guidance
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times
- Must be able to traverse close quarters quickly
- Must be able to stand on feet for the duration of an eight (8) hour shift
